K-12 Programs

Guided by the school's mission to empower individuals of all abilities by developing their capacities and celebrating what makes them unique, the teaching and learning experience in The Vanguard Academy highlights the student's experience in their growth. Drawing from the student's strengths, needs, and role in society, learning experiences are crafted by teaching professionals to build a bridge between where the learners are now and where they could best utilize their potential. The teaching-learning process in the school is one that provides in-context examples, reflective discussions, and out-of-classroom opportunities to explore, discover, and nurture a wide variety of generalizable skills and knowledge.

The Vanguard Academy offers three distinct curricula to learners of all abilities - standard, modified, and functional. All three curricula are grounded on the school's commitment to provide a learning experience that is relevant, progressive, and responsive to the needs of the learners.  At the beginning of the school year, the students undergo a series of pre-assessment activities in each of their academic classes to determine which curriculum per academic area would best fit their needs and interests at this point in their development.
